Al Unser Jr. To Make Appearance At PRI2014

SparkPlugs.com announced two scheduled appearances by Pulstar Pulse Plugs Performance Expert and racing legend Al Unser Jr. in their booth #2606 at the 2014 PRI Show.
Unser Jr. is a two-time IndyCar Series champion and has 34 IndyCar wins. He was the winner of both the Indy 500 and the Series championship in 1994. Unser Jr. was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2009.
Enerpulse Technologies Inc. announced in May 2014 that Unser Jr. joined the company as its Pulstar Pulse Plugs Performance Expert. Unser Jr. has since served as a consumer advocate for Enerpulse, assisting Enerpulse in delivering automotive enthusiasts improved vehicle power and performance.
“When I initially tried the Pulstar plugs in my 2011 Chevy Suburban LTZ, I noticed an increase of two miles per gallon and dyno testing showed that I had picked up 5 horsepower,” explained Unser Jr. “I could really feel the power, all just by changing my spark plugs.”
Unlike conventional spark plugs, Pulstar Pulse Plugs use an integrated capacitor that stores and compresses electrical energy to intensify the spark. This process is designed to increase fuel economy and engine performance.
A Pulstar representative will be on hand at SparkPlugs.com’s 2014 PRI booth #2606 on Thursday December 11 from 12pm-4pm for an open tech session.
“We’re very excited to have Pulstar join us for the show,” said SparkPlugs.com’s marketing manager Natasha Swanson. “As a relatively new product to the aftermarket, pulse technology and the use of a capacitor in an ignition product is commonly misunderstood. Our performance driven customers are curious about pulsed-power and wonder if the plugs can be used in their modified engines, what impact the capacitor will have on their ignition system. This open Q&A session will provide a great opportunity for those questions to be answered by a professional who is familiar with the technology.”
The final hour of the tech session will include a celebrity appearance by Al Unser Jr. He will join the SparkPlugs.com crew at booth #2606 from 3pm-4pm Thursday December 11th to meet with fans and participate in an autograph session, with a second appearance from 3pm-4pm Friday December 12.
