HOT ROD recently announced the 13th annual HOT ROD Drag Week 2017 Powered by Dodge and brought to you by Gear Vendors Overdrive schedule, which is back to determine the title of “Fastest Street Car in America,” slated for September 10–15.

Competitors will be put to a grueling test over five days of drag racing and upward of 1000 miles covered in the same car with the same engine.

Last year’s winner, Jeff Lutz, who won with his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Mod, will be competing in this year’s event. The 2015 champion Tom Bailey will also compete.

Drag Week is about more than just clocking the lowest elapsed time on the strips; the racers will also have to drive their vehicles on a specified route from city to city. The crew at HOT ROD will require photographic evidence from each entry that drivers are adhering to the prescribed route.

The first and last stops of the competition will be at Cordova International Raceway in Cordova, Illinois.

Drag Week will be viewable via live stream programming at HotRod.com/dragweek, September 11-15.
