Lubrication Specialties Inc. (LSI), the manufacturer of performance additives and oils and custom lubrication solutions for the automotive aftermarket, has announced the promotion of Todd Cawley to the position of president of LSI Chemical, a new company division. He previously served as the LSI vice president of global sales.

Cawley–who holds a strong sales and technical background in oils, fuels, and lubricants–initially contributed to the decision to develop LSI Chemical, a standalone business unit with a focus on developing additives and base oils utilizing Nanotechnology for new markets, including racing, engine, marine, and industrial oils. For the diesel additive market, the focus will be on products for large trucking fleets, marine, mines, and fuel jobbers.

LSI Chemical will incorporate the company’s Nanotechnology, colorless Nanoparticles, patented additives and surface treatment processes, and Group V Esters/Group IV PAO, designed for fewer solubility issues and superior performance.

“I could not be more excited about LSI Chemical and our technologies with game-changing capabilities to improve products for many different industries and markets in the USA and around the world,” said Cawley.

LSI is the parent company of brands, including Hot Shot's Secret, Frantz Filters, and Fluid Recovery.
