Parnelli Jones Headlines 2025 NMPA Hall of Fame Class
The National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA) has elected Indianapolis 500 and Baja 1,000 winner and Trans-Am champion Parnelli Jones, NASCAR championship crew chief Tim Brewer, NHRA championship-winning owner Don Schumacher, and Lyn St. James, first women to win Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year, into its Hall of Fame.
Jones received the most votes, appearing on 91.78% of ballots cast. Schumacher garnered 72.60% of the vote, while Brewer and St. James each received 71.23% approval. To be elected to the NMPA Hall of Fame, a nominee must receive more than 65% of the votes cast by members.
The inductees will be honored at the annual NMPA Hall of Fame ceremony in early 2025. Details will be announced at a later date. The NMPA Hall of Fame, which highlights all inductees and other award honorees, is located on the grounds of Darlington Raceway.
