Arizona’s Office of Tourism will spend $1.5 million a year for 30 years to promote ISM Raceway in Avondale, as approved by the state’s Joint Legislative Budget Committee last month and reported by the Arizona Capitol Times.

A deal was made nearly three years ago by Rep. David Livingston (R-Peoria) that would allocate the funds if the race track spent over $100 to revamp the one-mile circuit and facility. ISM Raceway exceeded the amount, spending $178 million for new seating, the new INfield featuring a beer garden and tequila bar, luxury suites, parking, free WiFi, camping locations, and more.

ISM Raceway is set to hold NASCAR’s championship weekend which will feature all three national touring series on November 6-8, 2020. The Semi-Final Race weekend for 2019 will also take place at the track November 8-10 this year featuring all three touring series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.
