INDYCAR, iRacing To Host Six Virtual Races

INDYCAR and iRacing have partnered to stage six virtual race events featuring a lineup of NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers.
The virtual cars will be equipped with the new aeroscreen cockpit protection device.
Each race will be live-streamed on indycar.com as well as INDYCAR's YouTube and Facebook pages, and iRacing's Twitch stream.
The INDYCAR iRacing Challenge will run each Saturday at 4 p.m. EST, beginning March 28 through May 2. Races are set to last anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours.
Pre-race virtual autograph sessions are set to take place at 3:15 p.m. EST each week, as well as a live post-race interview conducted by Katie Hargitt and aired on INDYCAR's Instagram page.
Some racing venues will be selected by a fan vote, but secured venues include Barber Motorsports Park, Circuit of The Americas, and a non-IndyCar "dream" track.
In lieu of crowning a champion, INDYCAR will make a donation to a partner charity at the conclusion of the challenge.
