The Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organizer of the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Le Mans Series and promoter of the FIA World Endurance Championship, is reinforcing its organization with the arrival of Thomas Otton as the new communications manager.

Thirty-eight-year-old Thomas Otton was born in Nantes. He has worked for Adidas, Atari and Orange after which he joined Babolat, world leader in raquet sports, in 2005. After six years in the marketing department as product manager and then group manager, he filled the role of international communications manager for four years.

His main mission will be to promote the Le Mans 24 Hours, the summit of the endurance pyramid, and to open up the ACO to a new audience, in particular young people and women. He will also be involved in the digital transition of the ACO and the implementation of the communications strategy on the international scene.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, said, “The Automobile Club de l’Ouest is continuing to develop and promote its activities to transmit the passion for the motor car to the widest possible audience. The ever-increasing success of the Le Mans 24 Hours, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Heures Motos, as well as all our sporting events and the activities offered by the ACO teams, is proof of the success of our actions. But we can still attract a new public and enhance our renown on the international scene. Thomas’s experience will help him to accomplish his missions with success.”

Thomas Otton, Automobile Club de l’Ouest communications manager, added, “I’m delighted to be joining the ACO and to work for the Le Mans 24 Hours, one of the most prestigious motor races in the world, and to develop the renown and the appeal of the club’s other activities.”
