SCCA Pro Adds Motorsports Veteran To Stewarding Staff

SCCA Pro Racing has named Brian Till as Steward of the Meet for the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda and F3 Americas Championship Powered by Honda upcoming season.

Till’s primary focus for 2019 will be working with Race Director Scott Goodyear on developing F4 U.S. Championship drivers on and off the track in effort to create more green flag racing.

Till started his motorsports career as a junior in college, competing in SCCA competition in the Southwest Division. He went on to win the 1990 Formula Atlantic championship and make more than 20 open-wheel starts in his four-year CART career, including the 1994 Indianapolis 500 where he finished 12th.

Over the two last decades, Till has served as an expert motorsports color commentator for sports car and open-wheel racing, broadcasting more than 400 motorsports’ events. He spent time both as an anchor and pit reporter for FOX Sports, NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, TNT, TNN and SPEED networks, covering an array of racing series.

The F3 Americas season kicks off April 3-5, at Barber Motorsports Park with the IndyCar Series and the F4 U.S. Championship debuts April 18-20, alongside F3 and Formula Race Promotions.

In related news, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2019. Founding members of the Club, which was formed in Boston, Massachusetts, include Everett Dickinson, John Duby, Arnold Engborg, Theodore Robertson, George Schulz, Robert Townsend, and Chapin Wallour.
