STAGE 2 HYBRID TURBOS
BOOST PRODUCTS USA
BOOST Products USA in Dallas, Texas, announced its new Stage 2 Hybrid Turbos for the Corvette C8 ZR1 (LT7). Building on the foundation of the OEM BorgWarner units, Boost Products Stage 2 Hybrid Turbos feature a newly developed 7+7 compressor wheel paired with a fully symmetrical forward/reverse turbo layout. All factory interfaces remain intact to ensure true plug-and-play compatibility with the LT7 platform, eliminating the need for custom fabrication.
Despite retaining the original outer housings geometry, the reengineered 7+7 compressor section delivers a substantial increase in airflow capability, efficiency, and overall responsiveness under load. The result is a performance ceiling of 1,500-plus horsepower, with an available potential for even greater output, when combined with optimized fueling strategies and dedicated race-fuel setups. The Boost Products Stage 2 Hybrid Turbos are purpose-built for maximum reliability, full OEM integration, and performance, providing late-model Corvette builders with a high-confidence solution while maintaining factory-level drivability and consistency.
CENTERFORCE II AND DUAL FRICTION FOR MAZDA MIATA
CENTERFORCE
Centerforce, based in Prescott, Arizona, has released a variety of new clutch kits for 1.6L-equipped and 1.8L-equipped Mazda Miata models from 1990 through 2005. The Centerforce II kits for the Miata offer builders increased holding capacity from the stock clutch setup, without losing the creature comforts of a smooth and lightweight pedal feel.
For those with turbocharged or higher-horsepower Miata models, the Dual Friction setup increases torque capacity to withstand the increased strain and load on the transmission. Both kits include everything needed for installation, including hardware, instructions and a clutch adjustment tool.
The company’s low-inertia flywheels reduce rotational mass for quicker throttle response, while billet steel flywheels deliver the durability and reliability needed for high-horsepower builds. Available in multiple configurations, including steel, lightweight aluminum, low-inertia and billet steel. Centerforce flywheels are CAD/CAM-designed and CNC-machined for a precise, no-hassle bolt-in installation and SFI-certified for driver confidence on and off the track. Centerforce is currently in the process of developing additional clutch and flywheel kits for Miata 2.0L models. Centerforce Clutch kits are proudly engineered and produced in the USA.
