WELD To Present Celebrity Appearances, Iconic Vehicle Displays At PRI 2014

WELD, manufacturers of WELD wheels, will present several celebrity appearances and race car displays featuring the company’s ultra-high-performance forged wheels at the 2014 PRI Show in Indianapolis December 11-13.
Located at PRI booth #1139, WELD will feature its newest product, the Draglite PRO wheel, which debuted on John Force’s funny car.
WELD’s celebrity appearances at its booth will begin on Thursday, December 11, with sprint car champion Brian Brown from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Brown has over 100 career wins and finished his 2014 sprint car season with 14 wins.
Clay Millican, the winningest Top Fuel driver in IHRA history, will appear on Friday, December 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Later in the day Larry Larson, a five time Unlimited Hot Rod Drag Week Champion, will sign autographs from 2:30 pm. to 3:30 p.m.
“With a passionate support for the racing industry, we are excited to return to PRI in 2014,” said Chris Bovis, WELD vice president of marketing. “PRI attendees will enjoy the chance to see championship winning race cars up close and the chance to meet industry legends Brian Brown, Clay Millican and Larry Larson.”
The Larson Race Cars’ Chevy II will be displayed at the WELD booth. The car driven by Larson at Drag Week 2012 was the first street car to turn a six second quarter mile. Larson recently broke his own record posting a 5.95 E.T. at 244.43 mph in his all-new street legal 1988 Chevy S-10 in Las Vegas.
Other WELD vehicle displays include the Blackdog Speed Shop Camaro ZL1, the two-time World Challenge Championship winning car driven by Lawson Aschenbach and a new custom built WELD Racing sprint car from Indy Race Parts.
The Chevy II and sprint car feature WELD Racing wheels, the cornerstone brand of WELD, which offers the highest quality race wheels for dirt, oval and drag racing. Each WELD Racing wheel is precision engineered for maximum performance on track to give each WELD racer the winning edge.
