Turbosmart was presented with the 2014 Small Business award by Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb at the 52nd Australian Export Awards in Sydney on November 27.

The Australian Export Awards is a national program that recognizes and honors Australian companies that have achieved sustainable growth through innovation and commitment. Businesses are measured based on the strength of their international growth, marketing and financial strategies.

Turbosmart CEO and founder Nic Cooper accepted the award on the company’s behalf, and in an emotional speech said that Turbosmart is one united team of good friends across Australia, The United Kingdom, and the United States of America who are bound by a passion for what they do.

Robb personally congratulated Cooper on the achievement, adding that the awards highlight international business excellence at a time when opportunities offshore have never been greater. “The businesses recognized by these awards make a huge contribution to our economy, and I congratulate the winners – indeed all the finalists – for their commitment, creativity and drive,” he said.
