Salem Speedway, the paved oval in Salem, Indiana, is now under new ownership.

Brent Harmon, who is affiliated with the Salem Motorsports Park drag strip located adjacent to Salem Speedway, has purchased the facility with Melissa Middleton. The pair acquired the speedway from Nick Bohanon, who took ownership of the track in January 2023.

"I'm really excited [about] the opportunity to purchase Salem Speedway," Harmon said. "My plan is for the track to continue its great racing tradition, but I also plan to utilize the facility for a lot of non-racing events, including car shows, monthly cars and coffee, several concerts, heavy equipment auctions and collector car auctions."

The .555-mile paved oval opened in 1947 and features 33-degree banked turns. The facility will be available for lease on off weekends of racing. Testing on the track will also be available.

The new ownership group is also planning several facility improvements, including a new shower house for the camping area, VIP RV parking and paving of access roads.
