Rally Organizers Unveil USRA

Rally organizers from across the country have banded together to form the United States Rally Association, an organization dedicated to the needs of events, organizers and competitors.
The USRA provides a partnership among event organizers, the USRA Board of Directors and a nationally known sanctioning body sensitive to the needs of those organizers, competitors and all rally events. The association’s goals are to promote current and new stage rally events and to preserve the culture and heritage of the sport.
The USRA is an inclusive organization that believes everyone deserves a voice to better the sport. Advisory committees are already established for competition, safety and technical matters. These committees, with representation on the BOD, will shortly be recruiting additional members.
The group’s directors are well-respected members of the rally community. They include organizers of national and regional events, stewards and competitors in those events. The members of the BOD have in excess of 200 years of collective rally experience.
The USRA’s schedule will offer the rallying community exciting competition with an emphasis on safety. The 2015 USRA season will have a strong series of regional events supported by affordable sanctioning, insurance and a regional championship runoff at the end of the season.
