A new, multi-use motorsports facility is set for Bremerton, Washington, near the Bremerton National Airport. A premier, 2.66-mile road course designed by the German engineer, racing driver, and circuit designer Hermann Tilke will highlight the Circuit of the Northwest.

Plans are in place to break ground on the 232-acre site this month, in partnership with the Port of Bremerton and Kitsap Public Facilities District. The destination, which will host both public and private events, will include KIA-certified karting facilities, an automobile and motorcycle driving club, an indoor shooting range, an RV park, festival sites, a clubhouse, and more.

“The quality of the design, facilities, and experience at the Circuit of the Northwest is a feather in the cap for our entire region,” Seattle Sports Commission Executive Director Ralph Morton said. “The newly planned facility stands in comparison to many of the top road racing venues in the world and will be a magnet to draw the racing community, events and, economic opportunity to the Puget Sound.”

The Circuit of the Northwest embraces the natural terrain of the area, providing challenging turns and up to 80 feet of elevation changes, coupled with a view of the Olympic Mountain Range.

The Port of Bremerton and Brian Nilsen, the local business owner who founded the track, expects to generate more than 500 jobs for the region, as well as provide safe training facilities for local law enforcement.
