RIGHT TO RACE UPDATE: Inroads in Ohio Continue
PRI and SEMA were recently joined by Ohio motorsports leaders Bill Bader Jr. and Rich Farmer to convene the Ohio Motorsports Network to continue efforts to strengthen the state's motorsports industry.
The Ohio Motorsports Network is an example of how PRI/SEMA is relying on community connections to support the ongoing right-to-race campaign, helping establish new motorsports coalitions across the country and strengthen those that already exist.
SEMA member company Jax Wax hosted the latest meeting at its facility in Columbus, Ohio, providing space for nearly 50 track owners, operators, manufacturers, sanctioning bodies and motorsports business leaders from across the state to discuss how to maintain a unified statewide voice for motorsports, expand collaboration and resource sharing, address industry challenges, and identify new opportunities.
Ohio's motorsports industry plays a significant role in the state's economy. The performance racing industry generates $4.95 billion in economic output, supports 19,449 full-time jobs, provides $1.38 billion in wages and benefits, and contributes more than $580.85 million in state and local taxes annually.
The next Ohio Motorsports Network meeting will take place in Spring 2027. Those interested in attending the next meeting or learning more about what they missed can contact Tierra Hubbard, PRI's director of government affairs for racing, at tierrah@performanceracing.com.
