HSR Adds First Overseas Race, Returns to Top U.S. Circuits in 2026

HSR's 2026 schedule includes its first international appearance and return engagements at North America's premier road courses.
Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) has announced its 2026 calendar, highlighted by the organization's first international event at the inaugural Le Mans Classic Legend and a continued focus on premier American road courses, including multiple weekends at Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
The new transatlantic collaboration between HSR and Peter Auto--the vintage and historic arm of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO)--will see HSR's NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear series compete July 2-5 at the Le Mans Classic Legend on the Circuit de la Sarthe. In return, Peter Auto will bring a grid of early-1960s GT sports cars from its "F period" to the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour presented by Mission Foods, scheduled for November 11-15.
The eight-event 2026 schedule opens January 21-25 with the second annual HSR IMSA Classic, held during Rolex 24 At Daytona weekend. The IMSA Classic showcases authentic sports cars from 1990-2010 with prior Rolex 24 race history, and a 20-car field will be selected by committee.
From there, the season continues with:
- HSR Sebring Pistons & Props, February 12-15 at Sebring International Raceway
- 48th HSR The Mitty, April 23-26 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
- HSR Watkins Glen Classic 6 Hour, June 11-14 at Watkins Glen International
- HSR Road Atlanta Classic 10 Hour, September 17-20 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
- HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour, November 11-15 at Daytona International Speedway
- HSR Sebring Classic 12 Hour, December 2-6 at Sebring International Raceway
The Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Daytona and Sebring events will again run alongside their respective "Historics" weekends and count toward HSR's season-long championships, which include the HSR Classic Endurance Championship presented by Mission Foods, HSR Prototype Challenge presented by Michelin, Sasco Sports International/American Challenge presented by Hoosier, B.R.M. Endurance Challenge, HSR WeatherTech Sprint, and HSR Global GT series.
HSR will also support the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and Pre-Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in August as part of its ongoing sanctioning role for those events.
HSR President John Doonan said the 2026 calendar underscores HSR's commitment to providing extensive track time on iconic circuits while expanding internationally. "The 2026 HSR calendar of events once again features maximum track time on the most legendary road racing circuits in North America and now HSR's first competition visit overseas," Doonan said. "Seeing examples of the same era of classic sports cars that raced in the first major endurance races at Daytona more than 60 years ago is truly a can't-miss experience for competitors and race fans alike."
