Despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), dragstrips owned by the company associated with the IHRA continue to operate, according to a recent report by Dragzine's Brian Wagner.

The uncertainty has intensified in recent weeks, with canceled events, reported payment issues and the mid-August closure of a prominent track. A recent analysis by BankruptcyData also examines financial and legal issues involving Darryl Cuttell's Darana businesses and their connection to the IHRA motorsports operation. The report notes that the allegations in the ongoing dispute remain unproven.

Darana Motorsports Holdings LLC, owned by and associated with IHRA owner Darryl Cuttell, is the legal owner of several facilities: Darana Dragway West Salem, Darana Raceway Hebron, Darana Dragway Milan, Darana Motorsports Park, Darana Raceway Xenia, and Empire Dragway. The organization leases Virginia Motorsports Park, while Piedmont Dragway is currently closed for repairs.

Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania, which announced its surprise closure in mid-August, is not owned by Darana Motorsports Holdings but rather by the IHRA and Cuttell. It is important to note that maplegroveraceway.com features a "Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park" logo.

Despite the broader uncertainty, officials at several Darana-associated facilities told Dragzine that their tracks continue to operate as independent businesses. Each facility operates under its own entity and LLC, with revenue supporting the individual track.

That distinction is important as the industry watches the future of the IHRA.
