Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA) is now accepting nominations for its annual SHEro Award, a program that recognizes women who have made extraordinary contributions to motorsports.

Since the program launched in 2023, 36 women have been recognized for their contributions and helping to inspire the next generation of women entering the industry and is open to team members, track officials, volunteers and all other industry professionals.  

Each year, a special panel selects one national SHEro Award recipient from the nominees. This honoree is celebrated at WIMNA's Women With Drive Summit, which will be held December 8–10, ahead of the 2025 PRI Show in Indianapolis.

Each nomination includes the purchase of a customized engraved SHEro trophy for $200 through Jostens, with profits supporting WIMNA programs. All nominations submitted by October 31, 2025, will be entered for the National WIMNA SHEro Award. The winner receives:

• Complimentary registration to the Women With Drive V Summit
• Paid travel and hotel accommodations
• Opportunity to speak at the Women With Drive Summit and share their journey

Past national winners include Abigail Hempy, powertrain engineer at NASCAR's Research & Development Center, in 2023, and Vicky Martinez Muella, founder of "Path to the Pits," in 2024.

Additionally, Mazda has expanded its support for the program, donating $25,000 to the initiative. The automaker announced the donation during a special Good Morning America segment promoting the Prime Video "First to the Finish" docuseries on the Mazda MX-5 Cup.
