After 37 years of ownership, Skip Barber has announced a new ownership structure for Lime Rock Park.

Lime Rock Group, LLC, comprised of General Partners Charles Mallory, Dicky Riegel, and Bill Rueckert, and a group of private investors, have assumed control of the historic road racing circuit in Lakeville, Connecticut.

“The Group... [is] bringing outstanding new vision and vitality to Lime Rock’s operations and to our local and regional community. They are the ideal stewards of the Park’s long and successful legacy. This is truly wonderful news for everyone involved with Lime Rock as we commence our 65th year of operations,” Skip Barber said.

Dicky Riegel, former president and CEO of Airstream, Inc., and COO of Thor Industries, Inc., will serve as Lime Rock Park’s new CEO.

Lime Rock Group, LLC was formed specifically for the acquisition of Lime Rock Park. Skip Barber will remain a significant owner in the new entity and be an integral part of its management committee.

The track will open its 2021 with an expanded events calendar, including the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic on May 28-31, the SCCA NER event on June 11-12, the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix on July 16-17, and the Historic Festival 39 on Labor Day, September 3-6.
