The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum announced that Indianapolis 500-winning drivers Tony Kanaan and Juan Pablo Montoya have been elected to join the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be formally celebrated at the Induction Ceremony and Dinner held on May 23 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The drivers were selected from a ballot of 14 nominees by a national panel of more than 150 journalists, participants, and historians.

With 389 career starts, Kanaan amassed 15 poles and 17 race wins, including the 2013 Indianapolis 500. Additionally, the Brazilian had 79 Top-3 finishes and 134 Top-5 finishes during his career, and secured the 2004 IndyCar Series championship by completing all 3,305 possible laps.

In 2000, Montoya became the first rookie winner of the Indianapolis 500 since Graham Hill in 1966, and claimed his second 500 win in 2015. He also raced at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway while competing in Formula 1 and the NASCAR Cup Series.
