For the first time ever, America’s vintage racing organization will host a hill climb near the historic “Tail of the Dragon,” one of the most heavily traveled sport bike and car enthusiast roads in America. The hill climb is titled "Slaying the Dragon" after the legendary road.

After a nearly two-decade hiatus, the IHRA and ESPN have signed a multi-year agreement partnership. The agreement is effective immediately; broadcasts begin when the 2017 IHRA Drag Racing season opens Feb. 3-5 at Immokalee Regional Raceway in Immokalee, Florida.

Steve Gioia Jr. has been appointed as the Chief Technical Advisor at the Oswego Speedway. Gioia won a total of 26 Novelia Supermodified main events at the Steel Palace, including the 1976 International Classic and the 1985 Track Championship.

The Sports Car Club of America announced that the 2018 SCCA National Championship Runoffs will be held at Sonoma Raceway, Oct. 16-21, 2018. This is the first time Runoffs will be held at Sonoma.
