3-Day Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition Seminar Added To Race Industry Week 2011

Claude Rouelle will bring his famed OptimumG course to Orlando in conjunction with the 24th Annual PRI Trade Show.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Race Industry Week 2011 continues to grow with important events for racing professionals from throughout the industry...safety experts, race engine builders, race track owners, professional race teams and more.

Claude Rouelle, the respected race engineer with 30 years experience, will bring his famed OptimumG Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition seminar to Orlando this December as a pre-show event before the opening of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.

It will be held Monday through Wednesday, November 28–30, 2011, in the North/South Building of the Orange County Convention Center, where the PRI Trade Show opens on Thursday, December 1.

Rouelle's career includes experience as technical advisor and manager on dozens of circuits and rallies, including the European Rally Championship, European Touring Car Championship, French Formula 3, Japanese F3000, Formula One and the CART series. In 1997, he created OptimumG, a consulting company that specializes in race car engineering and data acquisition through software development, consulting services and seminars.

The seminar will cover such subjects as tires, aerodynamics, kinematics, steady state weight transfer, shocks, ride and transient weight transfer; data acquisition and car design, tuning modification and chassis setup. Participants of these programs come away with an understanding of how, why and how much certain factors affect vehicle behavior, rather than relying solely on experience and intuition. There is a fee to attend, with a discount offered to those who register by October 28.

"Make sure to get a head-start as you begin to design or set-up your car for the next competition," suggests Rouelle. "Join us prior to the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, and arm yourself with all the information you need to reach the finish line faster and smarter."

"This week in December in Orlando is certainly proving to be a can't miss period of time for racing professionals," said John Kilroy, editor of PRI magazine. "Claude's seminar is very well respected, so this is great news for PRI attendees who can now attend both the Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition Seminar and the PRI Trade Show in one location in the same week.”

The 24th Annual PRI Trade Show features the latest product lines of 1,100 manufacturers of racing and high-performance automotive components, as well as precision machining equipment. It will be attended by approximately 40,000 racing business people from all over the United States, and from 65 countries. It will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 1–3, 2011, in the North/South Building of the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando.

Thousands of racing entrepreneurs arrive early for Race Industry Week, featuring such important additional events as the Advanced Engineering Technology Conference (AETC), the International Council of Motorsport Sciences, the Professional Motorsport Circuit Forum North America, the Stock Car Setup Seminar and the Industry Roundtable.
