Stellar List of Panelists from Key Motorsports Arenas Planned for 2006 PRI Industry Roundtable

Discussion to focus on multiple subjects led by Moderator Jeff Hammond

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2006) – The PRI Industry Roundtable, set for December 13th, the day prior to the opening of the 19th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, will once again present a diverse and exceptional group of racing experts, who will address a number of topics prepared by both Moderator Jeff Hammond and the audience.

Established by legendary race engine builder Smokey Yunick, Hammond, Fox TV Commentator and former Champion NASCAR Crew Chief, will return to the podium for the third year to lead the Roundtable guests in a spirited two-hour conversation. The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in the North/South Hall of the convention center.

For this year’s Roundtable, PRI Vice President John Kilroy, editor of PRI magazine and organizer of the Roundtable, has invited a group of participants from a wide variety of motorsports venues, including:

  • Bryan Herta, IRL Driver, Part-Owner of Stars of Karting
  • Danny Lawrence, Assistant Chief Engine Builder for Richard Childress Racing
  • Larry Dixon, 2-Tme NHRA Top Fuel Champion
  • Jack Arute, veteran TV Race Reporter and Stafford Motor Speedway Executive
  • Curt Cavin, Motorsports Reporter for The Indianapolis Star
  • Brett Root, Vice President of Operations for IMCA
  • Zak Brown, President/CEO of Just Marketing International
  • Chris Aylett, CEO for the Motorsport Industry Association Organization
  • Scooter Brothers, Director of R&D and Part-Owner of Competition Cams
  • Lee Carducci, Vice President of Engineering for McLaren Performance Technologies; Former Engineering Manager for Mopar Performance Parts

“Approximately 1,000 racing industry professionals attended last year’s Roundtable, which featured a lively and frank discussion among the panelists,” said Kilroy. “With the widely diverse, incredibly talented and very experienced speakers we have this year, I’m expecting another exciting program and a packed house. It’s a great way to kick-off the PRI Trade Show, which runs Dec. 14-16.”

The Performance Racing Industry Trade Show has been recognized as the 45th largest U.S. trade show, according to Tradeshow Week magazine, in its annual analysis of the top 200 trade shows in America.

Everything happens here first!

Reaching more than 42,000 show attendees, the three-day PRI Trade Show is timed so that racing retailers, engine and car builders, wholesaler/distributors, professional race teams and other industry participants can shop the latest new product introductions and have them in inventory for the next racing season. Attendees also will take in many other events scheduled throughout “Racing Industry Week.”

Both the Industry Roundtable and the PRI Trade Show are open to the racing trade only.
