Promoting buyer attendance and international racing technology exhibits at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, two members of PRI's international marketing team are making stops throughout the world of auto racing.
Francisque Savinien, director of international sales and marketing, and Arianna Maugeri, European and Middle Eastern business development manager, are visiting six countries in the spring and summer months to inform the international racing community about the size of the US racing market and the value of meeting face to face with industry suppliers at the PRI Trade Show in Orlando.
"The exchange rate in 2010 has made it much more equitable for motorsport companies to conduct business internationally," said Savinien. "And whether it's US companies selling to Europe, or Australian companies selling into the US, the international market for racing components continues to gain strength."
"Racers will do whatever it takes to get competitive advantages, and that includes technology from other countries," said Maugeri. "And the international racing market all comes together in Orlando this December at the PRI Trade Show. There's nothing else like it."
PRI's international team gave a presentation in Sydney, Australia, on May 11. There are two presentation in June—Milan, Italy, on June 7, and Paris, France, on June 8. A presentation by Savinien and Shigeki Tajima, PRI's Japanese and South Pacific business development manager, will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on July 9. That month in Japan, PRI is exhibiting in the Tuning Powers show.
On July 8, Maugeri is participating in the House of Lords Summer Reception organized by the MIA in London. Details regarding additional presentations this year in Brazil and Germany have yet to be finalized.
PRI also served as a corporate sponsor for International Business Days on June 9-10, during the 24 Hours of Le Mans race week. Event organizers provide international racing businesses in town for the race a chance to meet in 12 pre-arranged, one-on-one, 30-minute meetings. In addition, the event also offers participants access the most restricted areas of the Circuit such as pits, paddocks and hospitality during the practice session. And a networking dinner Auberge de Mulsanne (on the Mulsanne straight) concludes the first day.
Earlier this year, the PRI international team exhibited at racing trade shows in the UK and Germany.
