Preregistration Soars As Nov. 5 Deadlines Approaches Due To Successful, Multi-Pronged Buyer Attendance Program

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. — A successful, multi-pronged campaign to deliver another strong year of buyer attendance in the exhibit aisles of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show has increased the number of preregistered buyers above last year's figure.

"We are ahead of last year's attendee count at this time!" said Steve Lewis, producer of the PRI Trade Show, as the November 5 preregistration deadline approaches. "There is still time to preregister. Avoid long lines at the Trade Show by getting your credentials in advance."

Those racing industry entrepreneurs who register before the November 5 deadline are having their credentials mailed to them before they depart to the Show, so they can walk directly into the exhibit aisles upon arriving at the Convention Center.

Lewis explained the many aspects of the annual buyer attendance development program at PRI. The company published and mailed both a VIP brochure for the tens of thousands of buyers who attended the 2009 PRI Trade Show, in addition to a Preregistration brochure mailed to 50,000 racing industry companies, including professional race teams. The Preregistration brochure mailing was then followed by a reminder postcard several weeks later.

The PRI Trade Show is also a monthly feature in the racing industry's only business publication, PRI magazine, in articles and advertising pages stretching over several pages.

"We also buy advertisements in many racing publications in the US, and internationally as well," said Lewis. This year, an eNewsletter emailed to over 20,000 racing businesspeople at least once a month has played an important role in boosting the preregistration figure. He said the company's colorful and informative website, with its interactive Show floor plan, also helped trigger registration requests.

For the past two months, Lewis said that PRI has hired two people to call attendees who haven't yet registered to offer assistance in registering them for the PRI Trade Show.

"Our exhibitors know that no event in any industry promotes buyer attendance like the PRI Trade Show," said Lewis. "The way PRI promotes buyer attendance requires a sizable investment, but the rewards are jam-packed exhibit aisles on Show days. It's the only way to do it."

The 2010 PRI Trade Show will be held Dec. 9-11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. It features displays of the hottest new racing components from more than 1,000 companies in 3,000 booths, catering to the needs of nearly 40,000 attending buyers from all 50 states, and 65 countries.
