Over 150 members of the racing industry attended a reception in the Charlotte area organized by PRI the week between the NASCAR All-Star Race and the Coca Cola 600.
"We decided to move our annual reception from Daytona Beach during Speedweek to Charlotte to make it easier for more folks in the racing industry to attend," said Judy Kean, Senior Advertising & Exhibit Sales Manager. "As everybody knows, Charlotte is a powerful hub for the racing industry and we have a lot of exhibitors and buyers in that area. It was great to see everybody, and catch up on all the latest news."
The reception was held at the Red Rocks Cafe, in Huntersville, North Carolina, on May 26. Members of the PRI team in attendance included Kean, Editor John Kilroy, Senior Advertising & Exhibit Sales Manager Reed Morales, and Advertising & Exhibit Sales Managers Eric Jurado and Michael Parra.
"I've been attending various PRI parties since 1986 but I have to say this was the best I have ever attended! Congratulations to all involved in making it happen," exclaimed Ivor Goodwin, President/CEO of Cockpit Business Performance Solutions and Motorsport Executive.
"We visited many racing companies that week in the Charlotte area. In a lot of our discussions, the value of the PRI Trade Show for the stock car segment of the racing industry naturally came up," said Kilroy. "We work very hard to get everybody altogether in one place once a year at the PRI Trade Show. It's rewarding to hear how much racing industry folks in the Charlotte appreciate the PRI Trade Show.
"We talked business at the reception, but we sure had a lot of fun," added Kilroy.
