Nick Hayes, Of Cosworth & Richard Childress Racing Fame, To Be Featured Speaker At AETC

MEMPHIS, TN – One of the most powerful race engine conferences in the world will feature a remarkable guest speaker who has played a critical role in designing race engines that have won an F1 championship, as well as the Daytona 500. At this year’s Advanced Engineering Technology Conference (AETC), to be held the week of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, Nick Hayes will share his extraordinary race engine insights as one of the event’s featured speakers.

Currently the engine development and research director for RCR, Hayes is also known as the former Cosworth chief engine designer who worked on the Cosworth HB engine that won the 1994 Formula 1 World Championship with Michael Schumacher and the Benetton team. In 2005, Hayes brought his wealth of F1 engine building expertise to NASCAR, where Hayes and the RCR team conquered the 2007 Daytona 500 in NASCAR Nextel Cup, and earned the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series Championship, both with driver Kevin Harvick.

It’s a destination bargain: two big racing industry events in one week in the same place—the AETC followed immediately by the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show! You’ll be alongside hundreds of professional race engine builders and others who have arrived early in Orlando for a series of in-depth technical seminars about specially targeted subjects critical to winning races—especially the race engine.

Last year’s AETC attracted some of the busiest race engine builders in the country, in addition to powerplant specialists on a variety of professional race teams—stock car racing, open wheel, drag racing, sports car racing and more.

On the teaching stage are experts with vast quantities of knowledge about micro aspects of a race engine...specifics on heavy duty racing applications for connecting rods, pistons, EFI, camshafts, cylinder heads, coatings, carburetion and more were all on the agenda last year. Four intense seminars per day, with plenty of opportunities for race engine builders to share notes and ideas during the breaks, breakfasts, and lunches.

It will be held for three days, December 3-5, 2007, in the North/South Building of the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando. For additional information or to sign up, visit the AETC’s website at www.aetconline.com. Or, call 866/893-2382.

“The AETC is the performance and racing industry’s only forum that brings together knowledgeable, hands-on enthusiasts to share ideas and information for improving performance,” said Ron Coleman, of Competition Cams. “The networking opportunities at the AETC are one of its most important aspects. People come to learn about new ideas, or for leading-edge technology, and leave with new friendships that serve them for years to come.”

It’s all part of the extraordinary gathering of race industry professionals worldwide at the PRI Trade Show.

Everything happens here first!

With more than 45,000 racing industry entrepreneurs in attendance from 45 countries, the three-day PRI Trade Show is timed so that racing retailers, engine and car builders, wholesaler/distributors, professional race teams and other industry participants can shop the latest new product introductions and have them in inventory for the next racing season.
