Memorable for its busy exhibit aisles and great events, the 2009 PRI Trade Show was a terrific answer to these challenging times.

38,000 motorsports entrepreneurs gathered from all 50 states and 60 countries to conduct business face to face, and launch a fast start to 2010 sales of the latest new product lines in racing!

Business deals were being closed right up to the close of the third and final day of the 22nd Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. Tens of thousands of buyers took advantage of show specials, while exhibitors were excitedly selling their racing products and machining equipment to racing businesses around the world.

As the PRI Trade Show closed, both attendees and exhibitors were optimistic about the upcoming 2010 race season, as they should be with approximately 38,000 buyers attending the Show from all 50 states, and 60 countries.

"If you were to judge the strength of the racing industry from this PRI Trade Show, racing is ramping up for 2010," said Steve Lewis, the Show's producer. "We'd like to thank all the exhibitors for their ingenious innovations in racing technology, and all the creative exhibits. And we'd like to thank all the buyers from across the US, and around the world, as they bring all of these great new racing products to the racing consumer."

Management Seminars

The third day of the PRI Trade Show began strong with the PRI Management Seminars. With the karting contingent growing at PRI annually, Garry Lobaugh of MRP/Birel America showed the reasons why this market is doing well in  "Expanding Sales In The Karting Market." Daniel Bott Sr., a drag racer who is also first vice president-investments, of The Bott Group, Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, presented the very timely "Getting The Most Out Of Your Commercial Banking Relationship." And Rich Jaeckle, Chairman of SCORE Orlando, spoke about "Small Business Management Tactics--Meeting Today's Challenges."

Charity Sweepstakes

One of the highlights for many at the PRI Trade Show is the 20th Annual Engine Charity Sweepstakes. Nick Ramey of Roush Yates Racing built a brand new race engine that was raffled off at the Engine Charity Sweepstakes booth today. The winner of this spectacular race engine was Joey Leone, of Leone Off-Road Racing.

New for this year's Show was the addition of the Stock Car Chassis Charity Sweepstakes. Steve Leavitt built a stock car chassis, which was won by Michael Kwan, of The Garage. PRI Trade Show attendees had the unique opportunity to watch Leavitt construct the chassis at his booth during the Show.

All proceeds from both sweepstakes will be donated to the Victory Junction charity, and the engine sweepstakes is presented by Sunnen and Performance Racing Industry, while the chassis sweepstakes is presented by Leavitt Racing.

See You Next Year!

Plans are already underway for the 23rd Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, so mark your calendars now for December 9-11, 2010, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

See you there!
