PRI Trade Show Public Relations Opportunities

 

As the racing industry’s premier trade event, the PRI Trade Show attracts media from around the world, allowing exhibitors to generate extensive coverage through a variety of press outlets. The following programs are available to PRI Show exhibitors to reach the proper media channels:

 

ONLINE MEDIA CENTER: Exhibitors may post press releases online through the Exhibitor Dashboard. Please note the following tips regarding press releases:

  • Post early. Many publications run preview stories on the event and may reference exhibitor press releases.
  • Include a photo. Releases with photos are more likely to be used than those without photos.

UPGRADE YOUR SHOWROOM: Exhibitors can maximize their marketing impact on PRI’s interactive floor plan and gain pre-Show leads through upgraded Show listings. Exhibitors don’t want to miss this opportunity to display their company’s message to thousands of attendees as they search the floor plan and plan their Show agenda online. PRINTED PRESS MATERIALS: During PRI Show days, exhibitors may place printed press releases and press kits in the Media Center (located in the Indiana Convention Center’s Green Hall Speedway Corridor), the hub for media members open before and after Show hours. Please note:

  • Exhibitors typically bring 75-100 copies at the beginning of the Show and check the inventory throughout the event.

FEATURED PRODUCTS SHOWCASE: The Featured Products Showcase is an effective way to promote products at the PRI Trade Show. Highlight the best items, direct buyers to your booth, and gain unbeatable exposure at the Show. This exclusive display of the hottest products will be located in the new Lucas Oil Stadium exhibits area and is a “must” destination for attendees and media. Please note:

  • The deadline to enter products online is Thursday, November 8, 2018. After the deadline, prices increase and exhibitors may only submit products on-site.

SOCIAL MEDIA: PRI is active on social media and encourages exhibitors to connect with the official PRI pages and use the official hashtags #prishow and #pri2018.

VIP/IN-BOOTH APPEARANCES: Exhibitors may post scheduled VIP/in-booth appearances online through the Exhibitor Dashboard. Please note:

PRESS CONFERENCES: Press conferences are ideal for announcements that appeal to a large number of media. Since hosting a press conference does require a great deal of time and effort, combined with media members’ busy schedules, exhibitors may find more success arranging individual one-on-one meetings with journalists throughout the Show. Exhibitors who would like to host a press conference need to know:

  • All press conference topics must be pre-qualified by PRI. Exhibitors looking to break news on a new product are strongly encouraged to explore the PR options listed on this page, including entering the Featured Products Showcase, rather than host a press conference.
  • No competing press conferences may take place at the same time.
  • Exhibitors are limited to one press conference per day of the Show (December 6–8, 2018).
  • PRI press conferences may be held in the exhibitor’s booth or the Media Center.
  • The most successful press conferences involve significant, relevant news along with great visuals and/or spokespersons.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for promoting their press conferences to attract more media.
  • PRI will distribute an official press release schedule to the media ahead of the Show, but it does not guarantee they will show up. The deadline to be included on this schedule is November 16, 2018.
  • PRI can provide exhibitors hosting press conferences a list of registered media members (excluding email addresses) to assist in outreach efforts.
