Race Industry Week 2012: Over 35 Seminars, Conferences & Social Gatherings For Racing Professionals

Nothing prepares you better for the challenges of the upcoming year than a visit to Race Industry Week in Orlando.

The week of the PRI Trade Show is about solutions to the challenges you face as a racing businessperson or part of a professional race team.

In one exhibit hall, there are more new racing products, more racing professionals and more solutions to your motorsports challenges than you can find anywhere.

Special events during what's come to be known as Race Industry Week 2012 provide racing business owners and professional race teams the opportunity to learn how to tune up their efforts for 2013, as well as the chance to meet their industry.

No less than five major events run in conjunction with the PRI Trade Show beginning on Monday of Race Industry Week 2012. Plus, exhibitors hold their own technical seminars the week of the PRI Trade Show. Altogether, the week of the PRI Trade Show features over 35 conferences, seminars, conferences and social gatherings, including the following:

•Advanced Engineering Technology Conference (AETC)

•Claude Rouelle’s Optimum G Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Seminar

•International Council of Motorsport Sciences (ICMS) Annual Congress

•Race Track Owners Business Conference Presented By National Speedway Directory

•PRI Industry Roundtable

These events bring hundreds of racing professionals from throughout the US, and from around the world, to Orlando before the start of the PRI Trade Show, and provide a complete trade show experience—from new products to education.

AETC: The oldest and most respected race engine technical seminar, attended each year by hundreds of race engine builders. The theme for the 22nd annual AETC this year is "The Latest Advancements & Developments in Engine Performance Technology.” To sign up, go to www.aetconline.com .

Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition Seminar: A respected race engineer with 30 years experience, Claude Rouelle covers such subjects as tires, aerodynamics, kinematics, steady state weight transfer, shocks, ride and transient weight transfer; data acquisition and car design, tuning modification and chassis setup. Participants of these programs come away with an understanding of how, why and how much certain factors affect vehicle behavior, rather than relying solely on experience and intuition.

Congress Of The ICMS: The ICMS is the most prestigious race safety organization in the world, with surgeons, medical experts, race track emergency personnel and others attending the annual Congress from 10 countries.

Here’s what organizers and participants had to say:

“It’s been extremely positive. Every year continues to get stronger with the promotion of PRI. Our attendance is up from last year...The PRI Show is on the radar for everybody and it helps us promote the event.” -- Brian Reese, AETC

“I see the Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners Convention as a huge tool. I find it very useful—getting together with your peers in the industry." -- Gill Campbell, CEO of Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca

“The ICMS-PRI marriage is a huge success. Our people really enjoyed the Show and being able to attend both.” -- Jon Potter, ICMS

“We have a terrific mix of people here. We have people from the automotive industry, from the tire industry, from race teams…GT cars, NASCAR truck, Formula Student, open wheel racers and even a professor from a university.” -- Claude Rouelle, OptimumG, Vehicle Dynamics Seminar

“The good thing about the Industry Roundtable is the people you’re talking to get it. They’re all racers.” -- Robin Miller, SPEED TV Reporter
