Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners & Operators Convention

Race track owners and operators came to Orlando from throughout the US and the world to participate in the conference held for the first time during the week of the PRI Trade Show.

Attendees came from throughout the US, as well as Singapore, Europe, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Argentina and Chile to attended the Professional Circuit Owners & Operators Convention, organized to inform race owners and promoters how to boost the front gate, increase revenues and expand profits.

“I see the Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners Convention as a huge tool. I find it very useful—getting together with your peers in the industry," said Gill Campbell, CEO of Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca.

Sam Gee, of the Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners and Operators Convention, said, "The convention is a pretty neat idea where we've tried to put together some expertise with all sorts of motorsports facilities. Finding audiences, finding new revenue streams and owning and operating effectively...There are all kinds of ways to generate more revenue, but not always from the usual suspects."

It was the first time that the conference was held during the week of the PRI Trade Show.

"The organizers at PRI had a great suggestion and it works really well," said Gee. "A lot of the people here have been operating tracks, and this gives them another reason to come. It’s a win win for everybody."

The convention drew over 100 owners or operators of racing facilities. It is organized by the same company that publishes Professional Motorsport Circuit and Professional Motorsport World magazines, based in the UK,

“Co-location with PRI makes perfect sense for all concerned widening and deepening the audience both for  the PMC Convention and PRI Expo," concluded Gee.

Steve Lewis, producer of the PRI Trade Show, said the PMC Convention will be one more important factor in drawing the racing industry together in Orlando. “The chief attraction of the PRI Trade Show for racing business people around the US, and the world, is that they can find the entire racing industry in one exhibit hall at one time,” he said. “It also is an valuable new force in helping to improve the businesses of race tracks, which is where it all starts for racing industry sales.”
