Masters Entertainment will produce all three shows to be carried on Outdoor Channel reaching 31 million cable and satellite subscribers
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (Nov. 15, 2007) - Racers heading south this December for the 3rd Annual MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic Presented By DHL will be competing before a much larger audience than the 8,000 members of the racing industry, along with local residents, who packed the grandstands last year. Masters Entertainment Group, of Bristol, TN, has reached an agreement with Outdoor Channel, a national cable TV company with roughly 31 million cable and satellite subscribers, to air three 30-minute episodes of race coverage.
The 3rd Annual MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic Presented by DHL takes place Dec. 7, 2007, at Orlando SpeedWorld, as part of the PRI Trade Show, Dec. 6-8, 2007, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. It's the world's largest racing trade show, taking up 1,000,000 square feet and featuring exhibits from 1,450 racing companies. Roughly 45,000 racing industry entrepreneurs from 50 countries attend the Show.
Masters Entertainment, which earned an award from ESPN last year for its coverage of the race, will again produce the TV shows. "After producing the event for two years, we felt like it was absolutely necessary to expand it to one-and-one-half hours of coverage," said Butch McCall, executive vice president and general manager of Masters Entertainment. "You have a jam-packed, fast-paced, exciting event, and it's going to take all three 30-minute episodes to truly get it all in."
