A dozen drivers thus far plan on competing in both Sprint & Midget features in attempt to win the Crane Cams $50,000 bonus prize.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (Nov. 12, 2007) - With entries coming from some of the top Sprint & Midget competitors around the country, the 3rd Annual MOPAR-PRI Sprint & Midget Classic Presented By DHL is shaping up to be another tremendous evening of racing, taking place Dec. 7th, 2007, at Orlando SpeedWorld, as part of the PRI Trade Show, Dec. 6-8, 2007, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
A dozen driver or more are expected to do "double duty," and race in both the Sprint and Midget features in their attempt to win the Crane Cams $50,000 bonus money to be paid to a driver who wins both 40-lap races. The big challenge is that the winner of the first feature race will start from the rear of the field in the second race!
Among the drivers who have announced their intentions to do double duty on race night are Dave Darland, Walton, IN; Bobby East, Brownsburg, IN; Tom Hessert, Cherry Hill, NJ; Dave Steele, Tampa, FL; Kody Swanson, Kingsburg, CA; and Kevin Swindell, Germantown, TN; Dakoda Armstrong, Middletown, IN; Brady Bacon, Broken Arrow, OK; Mario Marietta, Clinton, OH; Mike Murgoitio, Meridian, ID; and Rex Norris III, Knightown, IN.
The MOPAR-PRI Sprint & Midget Classic Presented By DHL is held in conjunction with the 20th Annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, and attendance for the race - now in its third year - is expected to be even larger, with much of the racing industry on hand. They will be joined by many local residents, who have embraced this exciting evening of wild open wheel racing.
The PRI Trade Show is the world's largest hardcore racing trade show, and one of the top 50 trade shows in North America.
