FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CRANE CAMS OFFERS $50,000 BONUS TO DRIVER WHO WINS BOTH FEATURES AT MOPAR PRI SPRINT & MIDGET CLASSIC

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – Crane Cams has become the rabbit of choice, now that the company has agreed to post the coveted $50,000 bonus prize for the 3rd Annual MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic, to run Friday night, Dec. 7th at Orlando SpeedWorld, in conjunction with the 20th Annual PRI Trade Show.

The bonus will be eagerly chased by all drivers in the first of two 40-lap features that night, as the winner of the Sprint Car feature race then starts last on the grid for the Midget feature event, and should that driver pass all competitors to take the second checker flag, then he or she will take home the Crane Cams $50,000 bonus.

“I’m looking forward to running the race again,” said Kody Swanson, who won last year’s Sprint race and was therefore the only driver eligible to win the $50,000 bonus in the second race. “The MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic has become a prestigious event very quickly in only its third year, and it’s an important race for all drivers.

“I think it’s great that Crane Cams has given us a special opportunity to compete for such significant prize money. It should be exciting.”

Swanson will compete in a 9 Racing Midget and is finalizing his Sprint car ride at present.

Ron Gregory, who took the Midget feature last year, denying Swanson the $50k bonus, is also looking forward to taking home the big check this year. “I was one spot away from the bonus the last race, and hopefully this year, I’ll win the Sprint feature and be the driver who will be in the running for the Crane Cams $50,000. I’m very much looking forward to returning to Orlando SpeedWorld.”

Gregory will compete in the #22 Irvin Motorsports Midget and is making plans for his Sprint entry as well.

“We are delighted to welcome Crane Cams to our MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic,” declared Steve Lewis, producer of the event as well as the 20th Annual PRI Trade Show which will take place at nearby Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. “This is a tremendous show of support for this exciting brand of grassroots racing, where so many of America’s best drivers got their start.”

Associate Sponsors include Cometic Gasket, Performance Friction, JE Pistons, Calico Coatings, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, Fuel Safe, HANS Performance Products, Circle Racing Wheels and Magneti Marelli.

Crane Cams was originally known as Crane Engineering Company, Inc., and was founded in 1953. In 1970, the original name was shortened to Crane Cams, Inc., to better define the company's products and market. Later, to incorporate its multiple operations, the company's name was changed to Crane Technologies Group.

Since its start, Crane Cams has evolved into a nearly $50 million manufacturing and marketing company. Maintaining its Florida roots since it began operation, the company is now based in Daytona Beach.
