NMRA and NMCA have announced the Annual Open Comp All-Star Showdown sponsored by Eagle, a special race between select NMRA and NMCA Open Comp competitors in Rockingham, North Carolina, at Rockingham Dragway, April 11-14.  

The total payout for the Open Comp All-Star Showdown includes $1500-to-win, $1000 to the runner-up and $500 to each semifinalist. 

The Eagle Open Comp All-Star Showdown will be a 16-car field filled in the following format from each series on a custom ladder listed below. 

NMCA

• NMCA 2023 Open Comp champion.
• Next Top 5 NMCA 2023 Championship points finishers preset at event.
• NMCA champions pick.
• One wild card to be selected via chip draw from the remaining NMCA open comp competitors teched in.

NMRA

• NMRA 2023 Open Comp champion.
• Next Top 5 NMRA 2023 championship points finishers preset at event.
• NMRA Champions pick.
• One wild card to be selected via chip draw from the remaining NMRA open comp competitors teched in.

Lane choice in the first round will be decided by a coin flip in the staging lanes with the higher seed in each pair calling it. The winner gets lane choice. Second, third and final rounds lane choice will be decided by the fastest speed in the previous round for each pair.
