MOTORSPORTS RETAILERS, ENGINE BUILDERS, FABRICATORS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS REPORT OPTIMISM OVER A ROBUST ECONOMY AND SALES TRENDING UPWARD AMID A COMPETITIVE MARKETPLACE IN 2019.

After a long haul through the worst recession and longest recovery in decades, the US economy has finally brought substantial prosperity to racing businesses across the board, according to PRI’s latest annual survey of racing retailers, fabricators, engine builders, and other shareholders. Underlying our findings is the fact that the racing industry is changing with the times. Street/strip racing continues to grow in popularity, and along with conventional drag racing offers the sharpest increase among all forms of motorsports. Similarly, businesses that combine retail sales with fabrication and services are the fastest-growing segment of motorsports’ B2C community. There’s more, of course, and following are the complete results from PRI’s comprehensive survey of hundreds of motorsports retail operations, conducted in late 2018.
