The International Hot Rod Association announced that the historic Bunker Hill Dragstrip has signed a multi-year sanctioning agreement, making Bunker Hill an IHRA member track. Founded in 1956, it is the oldest continuously running drag strip in the Hoosier State.

Unity Raceway in Maine is set to open on Sunday, March 5, under the new ownership of George and Sherry Fernald. The first race will take place on 5 to 6 inches of snow, and will hopefully become an annual event. The Fernalds have reported making track changes.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) previously purchased the land Showtime Speedway sits on to make way for a new toll road. With the help of the community and a senator, the FDOT agreed to move the toll roads slightly to the west.

Race founder Denis Sverdlov and car stylist Daniel Simon unveiled the 'Robocar' for the world's first driverless racing series, Roborace. The Robocar, which weighs a little over 2100 lbs, has four 300kW motors and will be capable of speeds of almost 200mph.
