Former track champion Dean Catlin and his wife Donna have purchased the Cortland, New York-based facility from Frank and Audrey Payne, who had operated the 3/8-mile clay oval for 28 years; Catlin won the local pure stock title there in 1996.

The 3/8-mile Elm City facility, which first opened in 1988, will now join Fayetteville Motor Speedway as the first two North Carolina tracks to feature AMRA sanctioned Modified racing weekly throughout 2016; the racing season is slated to begin in early March.
