Jon Schaffer (right) has been promoted to crew chief of John Force’s Funny Car. Previously Schaffer worked with Neff as his assistant crew chief, but the 27-year-old will be making the calls on Force’s PEAK Camaro SS Funny Car beginning with testing in Phoenix.

CNN branding will appear on the front wing of the car that is powered by Honda, and will be driven by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button this season. CNN was a sponsor of Caterham, which was troubled by financial difficulties at the end of last year.
