The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) will run a class new to the series— X275— at the 2017 New England Nationals at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire from June 2-4. The program is slated to run a qualifying run and three rounds of eliminations.

Unity Raceway in Maine is slated to transform from a 1/3-mile asphalt oval into a 1/3-mile dirt track for the 2018 racing season. Currently, there are no dirt tracks in the New England region, according to National Speedway Directory.
