Scott Bowen is the new pit crew coach for Roush Fenway Racing. Bowen replaced Andy Ward after New Hampshire on September 26, 2016. Ward has 18 years experience on pit road, and Bowen has been with RFR since 2008.

VSP has become a national racing landmark because of its long history and for hosting major events, as well as weekly weekend events. All events are canceled for the track, other than the DIRTcar Nationals in February.

Roush Yates Engines will add 10 jobs to its Mooresville shop as it expends $3.5 million to buy new production equipment and expand its buildings there. The three Roush Yates buildings currently contain 185 employees.
