Local motorsports professionals and those in town for last month’s Knoxville Nationals joined PRI at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum on Friday, August 14, for our annual Manufacturers Luncheon. Dozens of race industry members enjoyed a festive atmosphere on the second floor of the Hall of Fame facility, where they were treated to a catered BBQ lunch supplied by local favorite The Rib Shack. * A Force For Good: An early summer swing through the South brought yours truly to the doorstep of one of PRI’s staunchest supporters: leading safety equipment manufacturer G-Force Racing Gear. A tour of the company’s Roswell, Georgia, facility revealed a tightly run shop. And my host, Jeremy Curtis, shared some valuable insights into where G-Force is headed. I am usually on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to sponsorship, working with race drivers and teams on how to properly prepare, attract and manage sponsors. But many of you may not know that I have quite a bit of experience working on the other side of sponsorship—as the “sponsor” or representative of the “sponsor/company” in the motorsports and performance industry.
